Make a concept for a new magazine and design a page layout according to the concept.

Magazine Overview

This magazine is published four times yearly and focuses on Japan’s most popular alcoholic beverage, sake. The publisher is Sake World Canada, a sake importer. The magazine features a variety of basic sake knowledge, pairing recommendations, sake brands and types, and recipes for simple dishes that go well with sake.

Target Audience
  • The primary target audience is sake lovers, food and beverage enthusiasts, food lovers, those interested in Japanese culture, gift shoppers and collectors.
  • The magazine focuses on readers over 25 who can afford to spend money on quality products economically due to the high price of sake overseas.
  • Live in Canada.

Creative Strategy

The magazine’s mood reflects the Japanese “wabi-sabi” aesthetic, emphasizing simplicity and space. It will have a sophisticated and modern design but will also have an approachable mood to appeal to a wide range of people.
